I'm a foody by heart (and also by stomach). My waistline is proof of this. I love to try new restaurants and wander off the beaten path of standard menu affairs to try something new. Sometimes I score big and eat a fantastic and unfamiliar meal that becomes a new memory on my pallet.
That's why it was a no brainier for me to shoot the new menu items for a new Vietnamese Restaurant opening up in Renton/Kent called Hue City. It's right next to Valley Mediical Hospital. Hue is actually a part of Vietnam that specializes in spicy, oil riched foods that is full of flavor.
My perk is that I get to eat my models. Here are some of the tasty morsels to be served at Hue City.
They are opening April 14th! so get your taste buds ready. The food will be esoteric and the prices will not hurt your wallet.
One of my favorite dishes when prepared correctly. Banh Beo individual plated with all the toppings.
Bun Bo Hue: If you've eaten pho, this would be pho's badass as cousin that just got out of jail. Full of interesting bits of meats and spices this noodle dish is not for the novice.
Eggrolls: A must have on the menu.
House Special Spring Rolls: This is the house special spring rolls with special sauce. This alone should make you eat there everyday.
Banh Xeo: This is my wife's favorite dish! fried coconut infused batter with bean sprouts and shrimp. This is the Vietnamese version of a naked burrito/fajita.
Vietnamese Shrimp Salad:
Duck Noodle Soup: This is another tasty soup dish packed with flavor and topped with boiled duck goodness.
