This had to be one of the funnest Weddings to witness and capture. The Russian culture is so enthused, friendly, and generous!

The setting was a Victorian Banquet Hall called Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville, WA. Next to the famed Chateau St. Michelle and the Red Hook Brewery.



The building is a historical landmark built in 1912 originally purposed as a school. It's a 2 story building filled with Victorian furniture, which provided a beautiful backdrop for some very classy photos.









Unfortunately for me, as I climbed down after hanging the bride's wedding dress on a window frame, a very unclassy thing happened. I heard a loud riiiip! Immediately I thought I had damaged the beautiful furniture. But when I looked down, I noticed that I had a 3 inch split in my "crouchal" region! This was unfortunate, because 1. I did not have a spare pair of pants, 2. it was also the second time I had done this at a wedding, and 3. because we still had 6 hrs to go!



Knowing I had on clean underwear, kept me going!! However every time I crouched down for a lower angle shot. It became quite breezy.



The traditional Russian Wedding is fantastic. There's a multitude of games all intended to test the grooms desire to marry his future bride. From coughing up the cold hard cash, to knowing her hand and feet size compared to other women at the wedding, Rob did relatively well! A very good sign that he knows his lovely Bride, Alena, very very well.



I had a wonderful time at the wedding. The people were great, the food was amazing, and I had the fabulous opportunity to attend my 1st Russian wedding. Hopefully not the last.
